Scene II.  (A clearing in a forest of the Elven lands. The young Princess Normanee and her friend and maid Larien are wandering about avoiding the lessons Normanee should be tending to. Normanee and Larien are both elves, as are all the other residents of these lands, humans are considered mythical and evil.)   
Enter NORMANEE and LARIEN who settle on the forest floor for a picnic with a basket of food.
